Flying Free

Flying Free — Red-tailed Hawk Soaring in a Midday Sky

This hawk in flight painting, Flying Free, shows a lone Red-tailed Hawk crossing a bright midday sky, its dark form set against a glowing yellow sun and drifting white clouds. Below, forested hills fade into soft blue haze. Painted in a traditional watercolor style, the piece captures the quiet, effortless freedom of a raptor riding the wind.

What is Digital Artwork:

Every piece in this collection is a completely original digital painting, handcrafted stroke by stroke on an iPad using Procreate. Rather than relying on automated filters or photo manipulation, the artist uses a digital stylus and specialized, pressure-sensitive brushes to replicate the organic textures, blending, and depth of physical paint. This contemporary medium provides a limitless color palette and an infinite canvas to bring creative visions to life, resulting in vibrant, high-quality prints that capture the true spirit of fine art in the digital age.

Printing, Framing & Care Information:

Each print is a Giclée produced on archival fine art paper with archival inks for rich color and lasting quality. A white gallery margin carries the title and date, and the artist’s signature appears in the lower-right corner of the image. The texture visible in the print example comes from the fine art paper itself.

Framing Guide:

This print is sized for standard, off-the-shelf frames, so no custom matting is needed. Choose a frame that includes a mat cut for your print size, then place the print behind the mat window. The image, title, and date will sit neatly within the opening.
